DTMF Functions

Allstar nodes can be controlled by remote users using DTMF tones. Each node can be configured how the owner decides best suits the individual application.

MB7INM & MB7ANM have the following functions available

Basic DTMF Functions

*1 => Link Disconnect
*3 => Link Connect

To connect to another Allstar node, use the Link Connect (*3) plus the node number. For example, to connect to node 45560, use *345560.

To Disconnect from a node, use the Link Disconnect (*1) plus the node number. For example, to disconnect from node 45560, use *145560 or use (*73) Disconnect All Links.

To find a list of active node numbers click on the Active Nodes menu option located above.

Advanced DTMF Functions

*73 => Disconnect all links
*53 => Connect local node to HubNet UK
*54 => Connect local node to GX4ELR Radio Club Net Hub

*80 => Transmit the node ID locally only
*81 => Transmit the current time locally only

Default Settings.

The repeater and gateway nodes are connected by default to a local hub node 45560 which is always connected to the HUBNet. If any of the nodes have been disconnected by a local user they will automatically reconnect to the hub node (45560) after 15 minutes of inactivity on the nodes RF receiver. This is so local users can experiment connecting to different nodes and they will always reconnect to HUBNet afterward.

Before connecting another node please disconnect all local nodes first using *73. This will prevent problems that can happen when you connect to others node while connected to a large network Like HUBNet. It's easy to interlink large networks through one of the local nodes which causes interference to all users and extra network traffic through the local node.
